How to Create a Christmas Tree Forest

Debby Brown asked:

Choosing the Location for your Christmas Tree Forest.

Most homes have a Foyer or Entryway just as you walk in the front door. This can be a fairly small space in a single level home or a much larger two storey room with a staircase. Foyers can be almost any shape from long and narrow, almost hallways to just about any size rectangular shape. The size and shape can be a little tricky and might require a little creative thinking but it is still the perfect place for any size Christmas Tree Forest.

The first thing to do is ***** the space you have to work with. Some single storey homes have tall skinny windows on either one side of the door or on both sides. There is also usually a longish wall leading to the back of the Foyer. This would be the perfect place for your Tree Forest in this style of home. In a two storey home there is usually a wall that gradually rises with the staircase, so that the back part of the wall is taller than the front. A Tree Forest works very well in filling the empty space in the taller portion of that wall and is also a beautiful accent for stair rails.

Once you’ve chosen the spot you want to use you will need to take some measurements. You need to know how high your ceiling is, how much room you have along the wall you will use and how far out from the wall you can come.

Choosing your Christmas Trees.

The next thing to do is decide if you want to use live Christmas Trees. They can be purchased in different sizes and they add a very nice pine scent. The other option is Artificial Pine Christmas Trees. Artificial Trees are beautiful as well. They come in a wide variety of sizes and can be purchased with or without lights. Which ever you choose you will need at least 3 to 5 in different heights. For a smaller, single storey space you will need one 7½ to 9 foot Slim Norway Pine Pre Lit Christmas Tree, depending on your ceiling height, one 4 to 6½ foot Slim Norway Pine Pre Lit Christmas Tree and one 3 foot Table Top Artificial Christmas Tree. If you have a two storey Foyer then you could choose as many as 5 trees. I recommend using an uneven number of them and maybe choose two 7½ to 9 foot trees, one 4 to 6½ foot Artificial Christmas Trees and two 3 foot Small Artificial Christmas Trees. In either case you can fill the gaps between trees with smaller 2 foot Miniature Artificial Christmas Trees.

Decorating your Christmas Tree Forest.

Decorating the Trees can be kept very simple and easy by just adding a few Unique Ribbon Bows. You can use Red Velvet Ribbon or choose a theme such as Western or South West and use Red Bandana Ribbon for your bows. Carry your theme up your stair case and put a few bows on the Artificial Garland winding up the stair rails.

DVDs Are Still Selling Like Wildfire

Aydan Corkern asked:

When you go to the store do you ever go back to the section that has all the televisions in it? If you are like most, the answer to this is yes. The market for movies has taken this section of the store over like fire. We used to be able to buy these on tapes that you put into a machine and watch them at home. But now you might not be able to find them on anything but a DVD.

These items are all over the stores. There are thousands of different kinds to watch. Here are some of the many genres that are available. There are action movies, horror movies, and of course love stories. You can now buy a DVD with two or more movies in the same case.

These items are easier to keep like new, and you can watch them over and over again without worrying about them breaking. You can buy whole season sets for fewer than 100 dollars, or you can buy some of them that are single for 5 dollars. The DVD companies have even started to put your older westerns on them. Sometimes the stores will have sales on several movies, especially during special occasions, such as Christmas time or Father’s Day. Sometimes they might even have some on Mother’s Day.

Most people will have a pretty good sized movie collection, and some kids might have more than their parents. Sometimes this way of watching television is cheaper than paying for cable or satellite. People that don’t have a big time credit card might not be able to get either of these services because of one reason or the other, and this is the main reason that some of these people will buy movies instead.

We have had to do this before, as I’m sure that there are a lot of you that have been in the same situation. But as long as the movies companies make movies, there will be movie after movie to buy and watch. If you can’t find a movie that you want to watch there are several places to go to find them.

You can buy them in every store, at yard sales, at pawnshops, or you can borrow one from your friends and neighbors. If the movie isn’t out there it might not be on one, or they haven’t put it on one yet. But if you will wait it will come out eventually.

James Blunt turns on Each Song

When it comes to synch licenses, James Blunt is no slump. Nearly every song from his debut album, “Back to Bedlam,” has been featured more than once in TV shows, films, promo/trailer spots and ad campaigns. His songs indeed, resonate with many in Hollywood and on Madison Avenue. Today senior producer Melissa Lonner, responsible for all talent/entertainment bookings, credits this to Blunt’s voice and storytelling. “His songs are about falling in and out of love, about wanting to be pursued and yearning for another, about breaking up and feeling sad,” Lonner says. “His songs are a soap opera. Everyone can relate.”

Despite his mighty success at home, Blunt has come in for a battering from the sharp British press, which has targeted the troubadour for his high-pitched singing voice, his non- offensive music and his well-to-do background. The criticism has been so harsh that Cold-play front man Chris Martin called for a media truce during the 2006 BRIT Awards.

Never taking his superstar status too seriously also helped Blunt see his new songs on “All the Lost Souls” to completion. Each day, as the band arrived at Conway, Blunt or one of his bandmates would press the buzzer and, like clockwork, the receptionist would ask, “Who’s there?” Laughing, Blunt says the response was always the same: “Hey, we’re the James Blunt Band and we’re here to create soft-rock history.”

Keyboardist Paul Beard, guitarist Ben Castle, bassist Malcolm Moore and drummer Karl Brazil, who had toured with Blunt for the past two-and-a-half years, played and recorded the 10 songs as a unit, together and live. “There was strong desire to capture that live-band feel that was so prevalent in the ’70s,” Blunt says. The recording process was in direct contrast to that of “Bedlam,” which Blunt made with studio musicians and then overdubbed many of the instruments himself.

Upon arriving at Conway on the final day of rehearsals, Blunt pressed the buzzer to gain entry and said, “We’re the James Blunt Band. What are we here to do?” Without missing a beat, the receptionist said, “You’re here to create soft-rock history.” Retelling this story, Blunt cannot help but laugh: “She totally got it.” Blunt will now step back and hope his fans will stay with him the second time around. “I’m really excited to see the development from an album that was raw but honest and charming in its own way,” he says, “to an album that is a bit deeper, a bit richer in its approach.”
